Treatex® Water-based Lacquer FAQs
What can I do if the lacquer does not dry
in the specified time?
This could be due to either the room temperature being too
low or the air humidity being too high. Increase the
temperature to 20ºC to allow the surface to dry properly.
What can I do if the surface has not become smooth?
This could be the result of not removing sanding dust from the surface before application.
Sand down the surface and reapply the lacquer.
Be careful to remove all dust and dirt before application!
What can I do to prevent trapped air on the surface?
Trapped air is caused by using the wrong tools
for application. Sand down the floor and reapply
the lacquer using a Treatex® Roller.
What can be done in case of mechanical
impression or damage of the surface, due to
using the floor too soon?
In this case, the floor has not been allowed to harden
sufficiently. Sand down the floor and apply Treatex®
Floor Lacquer Water-based again. Pay attention to
temperature and humidity!
What can I do to prevent spotting?
Spotting is caused by not completely removing excess
floor filler. We recommend sanding down the floor and
reapplying lacquer.
