Coverage:
● A 2.5L tin will cover approximately 17.5–25m² per coat depending on wood type (e.g., rough-sawn vs. planed timber).
For corrugated or textured timber surfaces, coverage may be reduced due to the increased surface area.
Preparation/Application
Preparation:
● Ensure the timber is clean and dry (free from contaminants such as dirt, algae, or grease).
● Check that the timber moisture content is below 18% and that the ambient temperature is above 8°C with less than 60% humidity.
● Mix multiple tins of oil together before use if applying to a large area.
Application:
- Stir the oil thoroughly before and during use.
- Apply using a brush or roller, using 100-165ml per m² for even coverage.
- Allow the first coat to dry for 8–12 hours. Once dry, apply a second coat in the same way.
- Allow the second coat to dry for 8–12 hours. Full drying and surface use can occur after 24 hours. Complete curing takes 10 days.
