Treatex WPC Cleaner is a specially developed, user friendly and environmentally friendly Wood Plastic Composite cleaner that removes dirt, algae, grease, oils and other contaminants from smooth or textured WPC surfaces (including grooves and crevices).
Wood Plastic Composite surfaces are often touted as maintenance free. This is not correct, whilst WPC surfaces are generally less maintenance than timber, they are still a porous surface that need a cleaner that can reach further than just the top layer. They are also usually softer than natural timber, so using a pressure washer to clean can cause more damage than good.
A simple cleaning and protection regime will help prolong the life of your WPC surface much longer than if left just to the elements.
Usage/Coverage
Suitable for: External use
Applications: Smooth or textured Wood Plastic Composites (WPC), Resysta and synthetic Rattan (windows, doors, decking, garden furniture etc.
Coverage: Approximately 15-70ml of WPC Cleaner diluted in 1L of water will clean roughly 15-70m2 (depending on the degree of dirt and dilution).
Application
Depending on how dirty the surface is, Treatex WPC Cleaner can be applied undiluted or diluted to a ratio of 1:10 with water. We always recommend a trial application first.
Apply WPC cleaner with a brush/ sponge and allow to act for around 3-5 minutes. Scrub with a soft bristle scrub brush, pad or cloth and rinse with clean water. Do not allow WPC Cleaner to dry on the surface: this can be achieved by working in small, manageable areas. Repeat the above steps if necessary after the surface has thoroughly dried.
Do not use in temperatures below 8oc and do not use in direct sunlight. After 12-24 hours of drying, further protection can be provided with the application of Treatex WPC Protection to help prevent weathering and minimise staining.
