Walnut Oil

As wood finish product specialists, we understand just how important it is to protect your indoor and outdoor wooden surfaces from harm. Included in our interior wood treatment range is the Treatex Walnut Oil - a buffing oil specially designed to treat your untreated and pre-oiled timbers. 

Not only does Treatex Walnut Oil produce a clean finish to help your wood flooring maintain its natural beauty, but it also offers robust protection against stains, spills and scratches. Created with a blend of natural plant oils and pine resins, this product is entirely wax-free to prevent the finish from turning rancid over time. It’s also perfectly safe for use by people with nut allergies!

Preparation

Walnut oil is suitable for untreated and pre oiled timbers in the kitchen and around the home. The surface should be sanded smooth using 180-240 grit sandpaper and must be dry and clear of dust and grease.

Application

Shake well and apply a thin coat using a lint free cloth. Regular use offers excellent protection against contamination and stains. The surface should be touch dry and polishable after 20 minutes. Full hardness is achieved after several hours. Apply 2-3 coats or until you feel the wood is suitable saturated.

• Used polishing cloths should be laid flat to dry before disposal as wet cloths carry a small risk of spontaneous combustion (linseed oil).

• Do not clean oiled surfaces with aggressive cleaning agents.
